A Passing Storm In Fantasyland
Last week we had a storm front move through Southern California giving us the first thunder, lightning, and waterspouts that we've had in a quite a long time. While most guests were heading out of the parks that afternoon, I was heading in as I knew that the rain would drive away the usual Spring Break crowd leaving behind empty, rain soaked pavement. In my last photo, I mentioned how some of my photos lately have been influenced by Thomas Kinkade in that I am enamored by light reflecting off of the pavement in the foreground. I guess this shot would serve as a case in point. This particular spot is usually jammed with guests in the late afternoon hours, but as I arrived shortly after another storm cell had passed, there was barely anyone left on that side of the park, leaving plenty of open space and providing an rare opportunity for me to catch the light off of the wet cobblestones of Fantasyland.
