A Fish Eyed View Of Christmas At Disneyland

Brett Kriger and I were preparing to leave the park early a couple weeks ago as the park was closing at 6 PM due to the annual Cast Member Christmas Party. But the funny thing was...they never kicked us out of the park! We weren't allowed on any rides, but as we weren't there to hit the rides, it didn't really bother us. We kept shooting for about another hour and finally ended up at the hub where we noticed that several security people were checking wristbands. One of the cool things about the Cast Member party was that they left these bright LED tree lights up for the entire night instead of just leaving them on for five minutes after the castle lighting.

I had to do quite a bit of editing on this one as my lens fogged up pretty bad when I forgot to put the camera in a plastic bag when I came out of the rain into a warm shop. Doh!

One of the effects I was going for with the fish here is that the bricks along with the Partners Statue look a bit like a giant ornament. At least they do if you cross your eyes due to being exhausted from a long day of shopping and wrapping presents.

    Happy Christmas Eve everyone! :)

I'm laughing my ass off at the story in the caption. That takes quite a bit of gumption (although I'm sure you sort of just accidentally ended up at the party!). Very cool (and unique) shot here.

      Merry Christmas.
