Hashibenkei Yama (橋弁慶山)

Hashibenkei Yama portrays a very famous Japanese story. In the story, the great warrior Benkei (kind of the Paul Bunyan of Japan, if Paul Bunyan fought in battles and killed people with great zeal) is challenged by a young samurai boy named Ushiwaka-maru. They fight on the Gojo Bridge, which looks nothing like the bridge on the yama.


The figure of young Ushiwaka-maru was made over 500 years ago, and bears a startling resemblance to a certain scene in The Matrix....
