Bassian Thrush Feeding

Bassian Thrush - Zoothera lunulata

Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve, NSW

Blog post here www.troymuttonphotography.com/blog/?p=458

A 3 and a bit minute long video of a Bassian Thrush having a feed/collecting food for a nesting mate/brood.

Gear used was a 300/2.8 w/ 2x teleconverter on a 7D. Taken in late afternoon - the bird did the same on each day, using a different patch of the grassed yard - farming the grass, as it were.

No sound because my son was shrieking in the background, and the neighbours rooster was crowing, so it ... lost the ambience. Just imagine Rainbow Lorikeets, Noisy Friarbirds, Brown Gerygones and Thornbills, and the odd Sulphur-crested Cockatoo flying by - annnnd... you're there.
