Renault 4cv Vernet-Pairard 747cc 1953

This two-seater, also called the ‘Coach’, in Alpine or Porsche-style is nothing but a 4CV and revised by Just-Emile Vernet and Jean Pairard.

The first 4cv modificated by these coachbuilders was the “Tank” (see below), which had a top speed of 172 kmh and was made for record breaking..

The Coach remained a prototype; there are only 4 copies made. Yet Vernet and Pairard continued to register the car in Le Mans each year until 1958.

Modified and colorized black and white photo of a scale model.
