The Magnificent Mile
So this was my first time in Chicago. The first thing I noticed about the city is that it is a bit more laid back than I was expecting. I was expecting a frenzied NY pace to things with exhausting walks and confusion everywhere. Things are a bit simpler here, and that is always good. It almost reminds me of SF. An older, flatter SF with moody weather.
Overall I got to see quite a bit of the city. I walked pretty much everywhere around The Loop and just north of the river. I stayed in a total of 4 hotels over 7 nights, so I was always on the move (this picture is from the Hard Rock Hotel). And because of that and the weather, getting good shots was always a logistical challenge. There was a lot I didn't have time or the conditions to get to, but that's always a reason to go back!
