GAPP 2016 / Landshut 1
Today a few of us were off to visit and tour the historic city of Landshut, the site of a famous wedding, which is reenacted every four years to celebrate the city's heritage. Aside, from the amazing colorful cobblestone covered streets, is the large cathedral style Catholic church known as Saint Martin's Church. The church contains the tallest brick tower structure in the world, at 130 meters high. The interior of the church is an open shell, supported by twin rows of columns that reach up to the towering ceiling. The city was beautiful and we were fortunate to have an equally beautiful weather day to view it! Next we make our way to the hilltop castle overlooking the city.
