Maori Taonga, Auckland Museum

The waka taua (war canoe), Te-taki-a-tapiri, left, and a carved kumara (sweet potato) pit entrance guardian. This waka is really impressive, and almost fills the whole gallery, it's 25 meters long and carried 100 warriors. Lots of detail to try to capture, so most of the colour was added later at home.
