After shooting the 2011 Dance Parade in NYC with an old manual lens I finally fully understand why large aperture long zoom lenses are so popular at the events. I also understand why auto-focus was invented and understand even less why photographers were unhappy about auto-focus lenses. Its hard work to shoot on manual in a fast paced environment.
Shot with Nikkor 135mm f/2.8 AI
