A 3 image HDR composition of remnants of the Victorian pier at Rhos-on-Sea, which once stretched 1,500 feet into the seas here. During world war II the Home Guard believed the the Germans would use this structure for landing during the invasion that seemed all too likely to occur. It was therefore partially dismantled, before being damaged by fire in the 1950s and then demolished by explosives due to disrepair.
For some reason this section was left standing, a sad reminder of a once impressive and grand structure, designed to bring joy and entertainment to the area.
