I eat M&Ms in threes, and I like each of the three to be a different color. I don't know why. On the other hand, I eat skittles in pairs - orange/green, purple/yellow - and I save all the reds til the end and eat them individually. And that's more than you ever needed to know about my candy-eating habits.

Interesting! I'm all for bringing a little order and rationality to an often messy and disorderly world.

Love this shot - M&Ms are my faves! And I also like to sort them into an M&M rainbow.

pretty! go Mrs. T. And nice shot. I routinely don't let people eat until I'm done photographing their food. I guess it's annoying, but look at the pretty!

LOL, nice description and great shot! I haven't been able to eat M&Ms since they changed the formula. :O( I want my M&Ms from the 80s!! Hope you're having a great summer!

They changed the M&Ms formula? Really? I had no idea! As far as I can tell, they're still really good (particularly the blue ones). :)

I never noticed any changes. Anyone else?

I'm old enough to vaguely remember when red M&Ms were discontinued in the 1970s due to the dye being deemed a carcinogen, and then a different red was reinstated in the 80s, I think. I don't think the chocolate itself has changed.

      Wonderful Dof!
Yes, they did change the formula when cocoa butter became too expensive. Now, they're chocolate flavored candies instead of chocolate. I believe the packaging now reads, "chocolate candy" instead of just "chocolate."
