Storm drain2

Rain water and melting snow in urban areas can’t soak into impervious surfaces like rooftops, driveways, parking lots, and roads. Instead, it runs into streets and storm sewers, picking up nutrients, dirt, salt, fertilizers, pesticides, oil, bacteria, and garbage along the way. Reducing runoff is critical to minimizing the impact stormwater has on the surrounding lakes and streams. Learn more: www.pca.state.mn.us/dm0r597
