I wanted to take you more sharply and clearly inside a Dragonflies mouth than ever before.


Look at these fierce fangs! Isn’t that amazing? I did not know that Dragonflies have such wicked fangs in their mouths.


How did I get this shot? I literally had to perform a Dragonfly autopsy on a dead Dragonfly. He's lying on his back here. I very carefully pried his mouth open using a pair of tiny tweezers from my Swiss Army Knife and then as carefully as I could I pried the fangs (which I was astonished to discover) out as far as I could and then shot a super-micro of the whole affair.
