A very patient dragonfly

This was my very first Dragonfly shot taken in the summer a few years ago (2010). Since then I've been privileged to make many photographs of these awesome creatures, including some really neat micros -- check out my links below.

All summer long I've been admiring everyone else's beautiful closeups of dragonflies. My backyard is FULL of them and I haven't been able to get one to sit still long enough to get a shot...until today! Ain't he a beaut? Love those eyes! He sat patiently while I got several shots off. Finally! I appreciate ya, ya little booger...thank you! :-D
