rigatoni alla carbonara

today's lunch

 

今日のお昼はマルコのお母さんがいなかったので、私がお父さんのために写真のパスタを作りました。作るにあたって意識したのが、今年の4月にローマで食べたカルボナーラ。もう激うま。今まで食べて来たカルボナーラは何だったのかとかなづちで頭をぶんなぐれられたような衝撃うけました。まず、ロングパスタじゃなくて筒状のリガトーニ使用。ベーコンはカッリカリ。ソースはスムーズクリーミー。リガトーニはぷりぷり歯ごたえがあってソースがよくからみ、絶対スパゲッティよりカルボナーラにはあいますっ!みなさん、わたしを信じて!

 

myカルボナーラは本物にはまだまだおよびませんでした。改善の余地あり。でも、あんまりカルボナーラ道修行に励むとまた太っちゃうので(太りやすい体質...)、ほどほどにしておきます...

 

today i was in charge of preparing lunch for marco's dad. i tried to emulate the incredible rigatoni alla carbonara that i had tasted in an old osterea in rome to which my flickr friend, mirko, took me for lunch kindly (grazie 1000 di nuovo, mirko!!!). this dish changed the concept of the carbonara completely in my mind. it was one of the most delicious pasta dishes that i had ever tasted in my life. the bacon pieces were crunchy, the sauce was rich, creamy and flavorful, and the pasta was perfect al dente (grrr... i hate to see myself talking like a gourmet critic ^_^;) from that moment, i decided to forget about all the recipes that i had tried before. they don't mean anything any more.

 

today's first attempt was OK. i managed to make the sauce rich, creamy and flavorful, but the bacon could be more browned and crunchy... there is still room for improvement. but, marco's dad complimented the dish and ate it up happily, as saying, "buono, buono" :D
