Spring Blossoms 7D

I did a little experiment...I have saved my Canon G6 mainly for macro images being that I don't have a special lens for my SLR to take close ups/macros.

So I thought I would put it to the test, comparing how the two cameras do. I guess it isn't the best of tests...these were both shot this week but on different days and of different trees and with different light. Other than that they are the same. :-)

Below is the G6 on Macro. I can get in closer with it but somehow the detail doesn't seem to be there.

Don't know what these trees are, they are growing wild on my land. One is new this year, the other showed up last year. Since I don't mow it has taken about 12 years now for these trees to grow and mature to where they can flower. The smell from them is heavenly sweet.
