Iconic LEGO Set Christmas Ornaments

After my Disney Princess Christmas Ornaments two years ago and last year's Harry Potter ones, it is once again time for a collection of baubles for my family's Christmas tree.

This year I picked something that will mean something to most of us and designed seven baubles that capture some of the most iconic LEGO sets of the last decades.

Can you recognise them all?

Just in case these are the seven sets I picked:

1. 396 Thatcher Perkins Locomotive (1976)

2. 6285 Black Seas Barracuda (1989)

3. 6973 Deep Freeze Defender (1993)

4. The sub from 6195 Neptune Discovery Lab (1995) & 6135 Spy Shark (1996)

5. 5571 Giant Truck "Black Cat" (1996)

6. 8480 Space Shuttle (1996)

7. 6098/6091 King Leo's Castle (2000)

Funny enough of all these sets the only one I am fortunate to own is King Leo's Castle in the bottom right, something I have plenty of fond memories of. All the other ones are either things I dreamed of as a kid or things that my mom had (and has) on display. Or both.

These baubles are quite obviously dedicated to her <3

Many thanks also to Ben, César and Cecilie for feedback and mental and moral support on the way. That Technic space shuttle took quite some nerves ;)

I hope you like them – let me know what you think!
