Strongylodon macrobotrys & Ecbolium viride

It's fun to see these two plants with unusual flower colours next to each other for comparison. All this picture needs are some Ixia viridiflora, Lachenalia viridiflora, Puya berteroniana, and Chlorociboria to complete the cyan masterpiece!

    Thanks Jim and tamelask.

Hehe careful there tamelask, it's Oxypetalum caeruleum, not Oxydendrum. :). No, even though it does have a unique colour, I wouldn't call it cyan, more like light true blue, so I didn't include it.

ok- you got me. :) i'm terrible about recalling the first part of th latin name, but jumbling the second half. to me, sometimes it has a definite cyan color, sometimes not so much. but i certainly understand your keeping the group tight.

    very nice!
  • J. Uluwehi Knecht PRO 5y

Kovács, this vine does not grow from a bulb or any underground storage organ.
