Moose Creek Estates
There are more than 3 million acres in Lemhi County. 93% of that is "Public Land" / National Forest. The area is an outdoor wonderland. Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort is only four miles up the highway from Moose Creek Estates. There are literally thousands of miles of snowmobile trails.
The Salmon River, world famous for its whitewater rafting and steelhead / salmon fishing is twenty miles south of Moose Creek Estates. There are dozens of mountain lakes in the area as well as numerous ghost towns and old mines. Hike, bike, ski, snowboard, ride horses, fish or hunt; pick your passion and go for it. Moose Creek and the area is truly a hunting / fishing paradise / outdoor recreation.
Moose Creek Estates occupies a 2.5 mile valley with the North Fork of the Salmon River flowing its length. It is surrounded by National Forest on all but one corner. As the photos reflect, the area abounds with wildlife. We have spent more than $3 million on environmental enhancement and have been internationally recognized for our work.
It is common to see elk, moose, deer, and other wildlife from you home. Moose Creek Estates has met the requirements to be certified as a Firewise community and has its own fire equipment on site.
We fly from Missoula, MT commercial airport which is 95 miles from Moose Creek. The local Salmon airport is 5150 feet long and 60 feet wide.
The Hamilton, MT airport is 4200 feet long and 75 feet wide.
