Boulder Overlook, Lassen Volcanic National Park

This monster size boulder is at an overlook just about a quarter mile north of the hike up to the top of Lassen Peak. I assume it was thrown from the explosion of 1915 which was as big as Mt. Saint Hellens. It is one fantastic park if you have an interest in volcanoes and rocks and minerals. The

visitors are few so you rarely have crowds and the scenery is to die for.

This particular boulder is about the size of a city bus and looks like it was put in place by a modern scupture but of course it was mother nature who is the finest artist of all.
