São Tomé e Príncipe International Airport

Right outside the airport are the relics of a different age -- two dilapidated Lockheed Super Constellation airliners, abandoned in São Tomé. These were two of the planes used by JCA to ferry supplies to the small breakaway state of Biafra, during the civil war in Nigeria from 1967-1969. Now these retired planes serve as the roof of an unofficial airport café.
