Barong Tagalog

Day 80

#ds491: What reminds you of home? Make a photograph of it today.

In Filipino culture, the Barong Tagalog is an embroidered formal attire commonly used during weddings and formal occasions. This Barong is made from Piña fabric.(Hand-loomed from pineapple leaf fibers). Here in the States, the only times I see a Barong worn is during weddings or church events sponsored by the Filipino community.
