      as far as i know, there's no tradition in norway to do this save the date thing. it's kind of a pre-invite, so you send it too all the people you'll invite?

      Yep, Astrid, it's kind of a pre-invite. It's a way of letting people know about the wedding several months ahead of time, so that they can put it on their calendars. In our case, it was especially important because most of our guests - like 90% of them! - will be traveling to our wedding from other parts of the country. We wanted to make sure that they had information way in advance, so they could buy plane tickets and reserve their hotel rooms.
