Amber Sciligo counting Drosera seeds under a dissecting microscope. Amber is doing a PhD looking at whether and how native carnivorous sundews make self-pollinated seeds. She thinks this will help them deal with the pollinator-prey conflict of killing potential insect pollinators in their sticky, carnivorous leaves.
