Loves Japan - fisheye camera, donation

Stationery, Photography and A Wedding Day

A lot is happening in our stores lately, both about photography and stationery related projects. Here's a quick report while I'm waiting in a mahjongg room for the wedding banquet I'm attending tonight. (BTW, congratulations again Geric and Lorraine!)

The Impossible Project corner is established with great support from Japan. An open display in Times Square city'super store above.

The Impossible Project Black and White film release corner in our Festival Walk LOG-ON store above. It is deep inside that store, hard to find but you'll like it if you are there.

The Fujifilm pillar we created a while ago, it is supposed to have the infamous X100 sitting right there but unfortunately due to the Japan earthquake and tsunami, 2nd batch of X100 won't be arriving any time sooner. Some reported electronic lever problem found in the first batch of cameras, but so far we haven't received exchange information yet, perhaps customers need to wait for the production to restart in order to have that fixed.

Talking about the Japan earthquake, Lomo is donating 20 Euros to the Red Cross Relief Japan for every special edition "Fisheye No.2 Shiawase - Sparkling" you purchase.

Just started last Friday is the "Lomography Studio" event we are holding in every store. The retro display tries to simulate how you would experience walking into a traditional photo studio taking your family pictures.

Thanks to the hard works from the Lomography Hong Kong team, we've managed to make it pleasant to see and walk around the promotion areas. If you feel like it, you can take a picture with the statues at Karnak Temple right behind you.

For those who would like to personalize their camera equipments, we've imported quite many accessories from Japan and Korea.

Kaweco pens continues to be very popular in our stores. With support from Germany and distributor, each store is now having a Kaweco corner decorated in various different ways. Here's the big glass case in our Festival Walk LOG-ON store.

UNI has been quite for a while and from what we could find out, this new StyleFit series of pen with lovely barrels is probably going to be the highlight of the year. You can choose to put 5 refills of your choice to the barrels or just pick your favorite refill and match the color of a single refill barrel.

I love today's ceremony at the church, witnessing a dear colleague's wedding and his confessions :) Heading towards the tables now.
