New Camera day 25 A swimmers adventure in shutter speed

Just carrying out a couple of exercises from my Bryan Peterson book. Here I set the camera on manual, opened the aperture to it's widest & selected the shutter speed to get the right exposure (1/100). I then worked my way through shutter speeds, slowing them down by a stop each time & selecting the appropriate aperture. It's a good lesson in why manual can be best. I can see now why 1/30 is meant to be good for panning & motion blur. ps. you can also see the effect on DoF in the grass from changing aperture - but I'll let George Harrison explain more about that shortly... :-)
