Things to consider:
So how does a (particular) photograph or series of photographs elevate the status of an object?
"Shard", is a relatively simple isolated depiction, with a pseudo objective descriptive caption.
For me, this object, or rather the picture of this object and its given name, is transformed by a subjective transference of personal experience upon an inanimate object. This object may or may not be found "interesting", I'm thinking it depends entirely on your own set of experiences. Which in turn will, I'm sure of this, change over time and with proximity to other experiences and events.
The more important question for now is: what is it about this new object (the picture) that will inform the depiction of the remaining 4 shards?
