New York Service-Learning Trip April 2012
Members of my Introduction to Horticultural Science Class, AGR fraternity brothers, and other horticulture students from FSC traveled to New York, April 12-15, to participate in a service-learning project for the New York Heritage Rose District. We planted, pruned, and cleaned up roses in Harlem, worked with the students of the High School for Environmental Studies on their roof garden, and taught methods of plant propagation to girl scouts and other kids at the Dorothy Day Apartments.
