      Nice job Matt.... I attempted this also in L.A. but failed.... what software did you use to blend the 15 shots???? (I'll try it again in 12 years !)

      Trying is the most important part at least, if you never try.....

      I hand blended in photoshop, 15 stacked layers with the blend mode set to only let the highlights through on the sun.

      Cool I was going to do a similar take on this but ended up getting called back to work. I guess you missed totality. It doesn't really matter this is still great. Did you need a solar filter or did you use a ND for the sun/moon exposure's. I guess you did then blended the layers onto an image of the mountains.
