On the way to work ... [Explored 2012-09-20]
That’s my way to work – somewhere between Unterjesingen and Tübingen in the Ammertal close to a small stream called “Ammer”. I had been waiting for such nice morning mist for quite a couple of days – and luckily today I even managed to get up early enough and to be in position right for the sunset.
The picture has been taken in three single frames using a Canon EOS 7D and a Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II tilt-shift-lens, which was tilted down about one degree to bring the foreground in focus and shifted left and right for about 10 degrees to capture the full range of this picture. I attached a Lee circular polarizer to the lens to strengthen the colours and two Hitech Reverse ND Grad filter (0.6 and 0.9) to darken the rising sun and to balance the exposure. The three frames were processed with Adobe Camera Raw, stitched together in Adobe Photoshop and tweaked a little bit (with regards to contrast, sharpening and a little dodging and burning, but not to colour).
Technical Details: Canon EOS 7D, TS-E24mm f/3.5L II, f/11.0, ISO 100, 0 EV, 24 mm
