Heart print

This is one of a variable edition of 12, with the heart approximately life-sized on 8x10" paper.

This is a block print, but not with linoleum. My local grocery store is absurd when it comes to packaging. You know those styrofoam containers that are often used as packaging for meat? Well, they use those things for everything, veggies, donuts, fruit, etc. I decided to try to at least get some additional use out of them, so I'm saving the flat parts for making block prints. It's a ton of fun. The styrofoam isn't exactly a replacement for linoleum -- it has very different strengths and weaknesses -- but the best part is that it's fast and fun to whip up a plate for printing. Whee!
