SAVE Little Georgia

For over two years manager Tiko Tuskadze and her Georgian staff have worked hard to create this popular café and restaurant in Broadway Market- and in the process earned a very good income for the landlord.

On the 18 August 2005 Tiko was due to sign a lease with the landlord – ROGER WRATTEN – the terms of which had already been agreed by both parties, and which would finally make her the tenant of Little Georgia.

When she arrived to sign the documents, WRATTEN informed her the rent was going up by £6000 pa, and unless she agreed to sign, he would close the business down. The rent WRATTEN was originally intending to charge was already the most expensive restaurant rent in Broadway Market, and there was no way Tiko could ever meet this new increase. WRATTEN was cynically hoping that Tiko’s love and commitment to Little Georgia would make here sign anything. To her great distress, Tiko was forced to remove her passions – at night! – to prevent WRATTEN from changing the locks and “impounding” her possessions.

WRATTEN cares nothing about his employees, the community, or Little Georgia;

-he only cares about lining his pockets at other people’s expense.

Please sign the petition in support of the Little Georgia.

They can be found in the shops up and down Broadway Market.
