Active Assignment for the week of 11th--18th Jan: Something with meaning
This weeks assignment is very simple - I just want you to photograph something, somewhere or someone, that 'means' something to you personally.
I love to cook. It how I prefer to relax...it occupies both the hands and the mind and, with an luck, produces a result you can happily share with friends. I've also spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my wife of nearly 20 (gulp) years. In fact, the pan that you see was a wedding present. The knife I bought in Nagoya, Japan, and I thought it would look good with the pan.
I have a Mexican meal planned for tonight, chile rellenos with a somewhat unconventional green tomatillo sauce so I decided to give it a try with my new 50mm f2 lens. Originally I cropped out the sponge in the upper left, but finally decided it worked better with it left in.
[I just saw that next week's assignment is food! I guess I didn't need to hurry to get this in before the deadline :-)]
