Permission was granted to photograph these wonderful radio antennas, used to view stars via radio waves. Though we scouted during the day, we failed to see the red beacon at the top. As the moon set, the antenna became red, reflecting its support structure onto the concrete pad below. The green airglow combined with the red reflection created colorful drama. Luckily the milky way was untouched.
