This is the driver of a maroon Hummer. Some of the snowball fight participants, mostly among those on the east side of 14th Street near U, targeted this vehicle when it stopped at the intersection.

The driver got out and, after waving a walky-talky (hinting that maybe he's an official of some sort), he begins to wave a gun. No one near me seemed to know, as we'd later find out, that he was with the police. He did not identify himself until later, when more police had arrived, his weapon was re-holstered, and arguments ensued.

This story is just nuts. People get a little crazy in the snow, cops included.

Someone should file a complaint to Santa re the officer being "bad" or lack of sense of humour....

Oh, sorry, I forgot, he was driving a dark maroon-coloured Hummer, with dark-tinted windows, one presumes.
The Police Chief has confined this veteran officer to desk duty.

They just promoted your photo on CNN! Jeannie Moss's tongue and cheek story flashed it up there.

What an idiot. Usually these guys with low self-esteem and anger issues end up being security guards but some how this guy made it all the way to detective. Scary.

      No, it's this individual.
