Pentax MV with a Chinon 50mm f/1.9
I have several different Auto Chinon lenses that I have acquired with various Chinon electronic cameras from the 1970’s and 80’s. I can't get the Chinon cameras to run properly, so I began looking for cameras that use the "K-mount" system so that the lenses would not go to waste.
We have here one of those Pentax "M series" cameras that use the K-mount system, the Pentax MV. I remember my Dad and his brother talking about the Pentax cameras back in the 1970's; those Pentax cameras were an expensive acquisition.
Nearly 40 years later I have one for myself, at a cost for far less than what they considered to be expensive.
Now I am going to go look for some shots.
PS as a footnote to the conversation between my father and his brother, my Dad ended up getting a Honeywell Pentax by using frequent flyer mileage. Here is the camera in my collection, the Honeywell Pentax Spotfinder SPII with a Takumar 50mm f/1.4
