ViVi's Ballerina Dreams: Standing On Pointe
Can I learn how to do that? This is another one of Gelsey Kirkland's pointe shoes, which she wore in a performance of "La Sylphide" in the late 70s. It is very special to my mommy, as Gelsey gave the pair of shoes to her as a gift after the performance. I don't think my toes will fit in it though. I will have to try a different size shoe. Plus, my arch is a lot bigger. I'm studying how it's done and then I will have to practice.
This ballerina series is dedicated to Gelsey Kirkland for keeping the dreams, memories, and hopes for classical ballet alive. Dancers want to dance, and live to dance, and dance to live.
