A White Bouquet to mark a four year milestone.
Four years on flickr and so many people to thank...
Daniel; he just walked in and sat at my pc and said "this is what you should be doing, ... *flickr". Thanks Daniel it has been a long, exciting, sometimes frustrating trip. The Hay community now misses you immensely.
Goplayer; who, busy as he was with his own top shelf photography and family plus designing and building a camera that orbits the earth taking photos of the sun, still had time to reach out and help me in the very early days. This picture is the first one where I altered a busy background to black under his instructions, so grateful to you, Aref (goplayer) for your time and patience.
So many friends I have met in 'flickrdom' it would be impossible to name all.
Some very early ones, Cecily who always put me right and still does, Sabinche, Iain, Dianne, 2 Freds, one who wrote poetry and one where the friendship was further cemented when I was his 30,000 viewer. Bud in Alaska still going strong. Steve and SugarbearSteve, my birder friend Julian and "michael/hughman now Misha" who did marvellous collaborations with my photos.. Much advice has been sent my way and I hope I have learnt and remembered some of it..
Then came the Magic Unicorn: maidens, an eclectic team of strong minded and caring individuals; thanks to Marilyn and Lynne who helped me dive into the depths and delights of "Textures" and the other girls who now encourage me to keep at it...
To the new friends, too numerous to identify, I hope you know who you all are, I enjoy your company. And last but by no means the least, Rick (word artist) who has devoted many hours of his valuable time to lift me to a new level of seeing how photography should be; how can I thank you enough!
Transferred from my old account; this picture ended up with 867 comments, 317 faves and in 9 galleries, so again many thanks to all who contributed.
All these from just two buds....
