New Look 6764, View D
Worked in some quilter's cotton.
This is an "easy 1 hour" pattern and yaaah, their caveat that it's an hour's work if you only count the sewing is more or less true assuming you don't care about pressing or finishing seams, but I won't make too fine a point about that (except I already have so I guess that last comment should be stricken from the record).
The pattern IS very easy and the end result looks just like the envelope. I will probably sew it again with a couple of changes.
1. the rise is a little long for my taste. I might take an inch or two
off the top so it fits more like the pattern photo.
2. the legs are a little more tapered than I like, so I'll redraft the leg shape just a little to make it straighter, probably taking out a little of the ease in the hips too.
I pretty much live in PJs so this will be a good template to start from and once I've refined them just as I like them, I'll probably copy the amended pattern to sturdier paper for future use.
Oh, one more thing, I really don't care for the twill tape recommended for tie at the waistline. They are papery and flimsy. It looks like the pattern envelope samples use something more like shoe laces which I think looks nicer.
