guys I have a question (maybe silly, but I am from Greece, don't really know about traditional Xmas pudding). Why and how is this pudding flamable????

  4. minor9th 53 months ago | reply

Oh! Well, it's a bit alcoholic as it has grand marnier and guinness in it, both of which are a bit flammable, however the reason it lights up in this way is because we pour hot brandy over the top and light it. It's traditional to do this before serving - it will stay alight for up to a minute or so generally.

A great way to explain a recipe, specially this one that has some old techniques not so well known to everybody.
Thank you, I will try this one.
Have a great xmas and happy ny,
