      Excellent photo! I love everything about it. I'm actually not a fan of black and white photography. I think too many photos are converted to b&w for no particular purpose, but here it work really well. Smoothly changing shades or gray are beautiful. The lines of fences make a great composition and the black silhouette is like a cherry on a cake.

      What I find particularly interesting is the atmosphere. I was there a few years ago in summer and I remember it as a place for a lovely walk in great weather. Here it's totally different. If I was there I would try to go somewhere for a hot tea. It feels so cold and moist. I would never think the this place can look like this.

      Thanks! B&W works when purity of tone and form take priority; I agree, people generally don't know when to use B&W vs color. Seeing in B&W is very different to seeing in color.

      Beautiful, beautiful photo. One question, is this long rectangular frame the outcome of cropping, or it is something that you can choose in your Leica ?
