Oh yes, I remember this. One of the old fashioned Leicas....

Will you upgrade to the M9?

      Heh. Thanks people!

Ronn - nope, no plans to. There's no equivalent of the lenses I've got for full frame (28/1.4, 65/1.1) and I'm plenty happy with the M8. Also, broke now. :P

Pimp my Leica :) I love it. It's seksy. Why the black tape though?
I'm going to miss my M8. I just sold it and will probably have my M9 in a few weeks, depending on whether I buy it here in Iceland or in the USA. Till then I think I'll just use film and my Bessa R2a.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

To cover the red dot: stealthier :P. I tried to get them to give me a black dot but they said official policy now prohibits it. No need to miss your M8 if there's an M9 coming!

I guess the M9 will more than make up for the M8. But still, it was my first Leica, and the say you never forget your first one. Right?

Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

Very true...I have to admit I didn't like my first or second Leica experiences...:P

Not sure about if my opinion about this is really objective but I've noticed that your skills as photojournalist have been improved since you work with the Leica M8. Really love your urban shots with that gear. Love those high contrast monochrome captures so "Leica".

Thank you. I don't know which came first: the photojournalism focus or the Leica. I think one compliments the other for sure, though. I've actually changed my processing routine to better suit the native tonal curve of the sensor - maybe this is the 'Leica' look...
