Our Daily Challenge: attachments and connections
the geek behind the curtain: all photos in this assemblage were shot and developed by myself.
two shots here - no textures this time. one shot of the ceiling and skylight at a local ranger's station at a public nature park taken this past weekend. one shot of me with an apple from today's lunch hour. selective color.
this started out as a desaturated ceiling shot ... then ... you know ... it just ... kept going.
reading this challenge (Attachment and Connection) i immediately thought of Buddha and Buddhism. (since the big revelation was more-or-less that everyone suffers, and that it is our "attachments" that are the cause the suffering, etc.) in the end though i ended up with a image loaded with symbols and archetypes drawing from the triad of "Abrahamic" religions (or perhaps from Snow White). beyond that the underlying more universal message is for the Viewer to invent and decide upon -- to make your own attachments and connections.
