SECVA visits Milwaukee VA

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough stopped by the Milwaukee VA on Aug. 31 to meet employees, talk with Veterans and tour the facility.
McDonough led a discussion with VA personnel on nutrition programs and acknowledged the Emergency Department's recent Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses Association and the Focus on Energy award. He toured the raised garden area by the Spinal Cord Injury Center, enjoyed lunch in the canteen and met with VA leadership, staff and union representatives to listen to concerns.
He also presented awards to five employees for their outstanding contributions to the Milwaukee VA.
