Maison hantée à Ras Hamidou

Also from the archives. Image taken in 2007, this place stands on the road from Algiers to Ras Hamidou which in colonial times was called Point Pescade. The building used to be school, but got damaged during the Algerian war of Independance in the 1960s. It is alledged by the locals that the OAS used to torture people in there, and that the place has been haunted ever since; people have tried to squat the place but go away because there are "things" in the night.

Update: It seems a friendly soul at Reddit posted this image, which in it's turn inspired a Mr Watercolour to make this rendition of this picture. The wonderful world of internet.
