The former Nuwaubian bookstore and temple in Athens, GA, which has been abandoned for years, is going to be auction off by the government in October.

 

The Nuwaubian sect led by Malachi Z. York had its pyramid and compound near Eatonton, GA in Putnam County but also maintained this bookstore and temple in Athens, GA. York was arrested in 2002, and was later sentenced to 135 years in prison for sexually molesting boys and girls whose parents were members of the sect.
