Enemy Captured in Vietnam-1967--B Company

Unit: B Company 3rd Amtrac Bat. 1st MD

"You're Fighting Days Are Through!"

Operation south of DaNang. 3/1 south of Marble Mountain

The US did not treat POW's of N. Vietnam as well as POW's are treated today; however it pales in comparison to what life was like if you were unfortunate enough to have been captured by the North Vietnamese.

POW's caught by the sadistic Vietnamese came to expect torture in the most unexpected ways. Imagine the most brutal and awful torture in your mind and then magnify that by 10.

Having the most proud people in the world, US POW's knew to band together, stay strong, keep your mouth shut and to "Return with Honor".

These Vietnamese prisoners above should consider themselves lucky to have been captured by brave class act soldiers of the United States.

Thank you to all of our brave soldiers across the Globe, YOU are the reason why I LIVE FREE.
