MFKR 2010 - Day 1 (Set Up & Icebreaker)
After leaving the dreamy beach house, we made our way over to Dumas Bay Centre to get ready for the arrival of the men. I had the most wonderful assistance by Keith, Joe E & Franklin.
Here you see the Goodie Bag assembly line. The bag itself is a very cool backpack tote donated by Skacel Knitting. Inside each bag was one of the following: Gwen Bortner's "Entre to Entrelac" book courtesy of XRX, Jane Ellisson's "Noro for Men" book courtesy of Knitting Fever, Curious Creek superfine alpaca yarn, Soak wash, Joy of Yarn "Kiwi Sock Blanket" starter kit (with 9 tiny balls of yarn), Northamption Valley Yarns chunky yarn courtesy of WEBS, Girl on the Rocks stitch markers/wpi tool/needle gauge, Churchmouse Teas & Yarns measuring tape, HiKoo's new Simplicity yarn courtesy of Skacel, Hazel Knits Wee Sock pattern and sample yarn, Slipped Stitch Studios button/flair, and Goth Socks sock yarn in "It's Raining Men" custom colorway.
In addition, there was a binder containing patterns generously donated by Anne Hanson (Longjohn sock), Kieran Foley (Cold Mountain variation lace stole), Marlowe Crawford (Newland sock), Stephen West (Botanic hat), Stephen West (Windschief hat & neckwarmer), Todd Gocken (Brigade pullover), Andy Nevarez (Apollo lace shawl) AND lots of coupons and business cards.
