Hyperbolic Forms

    Newer Older

Cool crochet creations. They remind me of anemones and therefore, rock.

Each one took me about 30 minutes to do. I used up icky bits of yarn that I was going to toss or stuff in toys. I was reminded about the hyperbolic shapes by John at Yarn Ball Boogie on the occasion of his recent NYC viewing of the Crocheted Coral Reef project. And if you like geeky mathematical concepts, check out the The IFF collection and simple pattern ideas here. Be sure to check out the regular folks interpretations (People's Hyperbolic Gallery #1 [IFF-G4])!

It's actually the perfect size... only about 2 inches in diameter and it's all cotton thread.

Is your cat really named Kittystar? I love you, Ludo!
