from Sycamore Slough
Sunrise from Terminous Island, CA along the Sycamore Slough. The recent wildfires are rendering some eerie red suns lately.
I spent the early hours chasing the setting full moon, hoping for a clean composition, and when I finally found one and got set up to shoot, the moon got swallowed up by the low clouds and disappeared completely. Turning my attention to the east, the sun was popping up, so I threw my camera back in the truck and took off another 1/4 mile down the levee to line up this shot, looking toward Lodi. These grain silos are over 5 miles away, along Interstate 5.
Lens is the behemoth A*600mm f/5.6 plus a 1.4x teleconverter, on the 645Z.
